The return to the galaxy
The return
With the aid of ancient but functional technology and ships, combined with navigation maps found in the unknown regions, found a way to return to the known galaxy within there own lifetime. But, this did not come without its flaws. The largest of the flaws was not just the age of the ancient hyperdrive, but with the science behind it. No one of the survivors could understand how the systems would work at all. All they knew is that the ship was able to travel in hyper space without error. Once the plot was set and the journey home started all seemed to be going perfect. The passengers of this ancient vessel could smell home coming fast. The truth was not something they could have imagined.
The heroes of outbound flight returned after almost a year in the unknown regions to find that not just one year had passed, but near ten years. The crew and scientists could not understand how inside this ancient ship that either they aged ten times slower, or time itself moved slower. Home coming was met with awe and sorrow based on the lives lost and the time it took to return.
To some this homecoming wasn’t anything more then a finished return trip. To some who lost 10 years, family, and homes to the war. A war that none of the survivors knew about happening about at all. The galaxy had changed for them all. Hero and award ceremonies were held for the living and dead, but it didn’t change the outcome for the living civilian survivors who had no place to call home anymore. The galaxy praised them all, as they wept in secret.
Our heroes ended up, as expected, going they’re separate ways. Angi Katchi and Deus disappear without a trace. But, rumors carry that the Jedi counsel had a secret mission for the Dancing Jedi known as Angi. Soon after she vanished, so did the ancient ships and all its mysterious technology.
Sha’Kur and Dar’Grot found themselves rewarded by the people of Corelia. With a brand new YT-1300, straight off the line, large amount of money in rewards, and a blood stripe. It’s the first time the Correlian ever owned something new in his life, and the first pair of clean pants.
The Jedi Padawan heroes return to the temple to find that the reports of the mission and trials that were overcome had proven them to be worthy of the status of Jedi Knight. As well as a long overdue rest in new quarters at the temple. Newt, even though being well over the accepted age to start training was assigned to Resik Jinzler as his Padawan learner. Her previous training and demeanor proved that she had great promise. Only the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker raised any protest to this appointment. The masters, on the other hand, agreed unanimously to this decision. Over the next couple of months the only problems with her hoading and stashing habits around the temple got her and Resik into trouble. Newt seems to have a knack for finding all of the hiding places in the ancient temple, and setting up all contingencies for all emergencies. Which came in handy as the newly self appointed Emperor activates Order 66.
Resik, Talos, and Newt found themselves once again under attack from all angles, but this time from they’re own government. Learning from experience in the unknown territories our heroes knew exactly what to do when outnumbered at this scale. They ran. Saving time only to help others to also escape with them. The rout in which the tree found they’re way out would be worthy of the Jedi archives, but will never be entered. It can only be said that Talos came out without a scratch, Resik was found nearly having his Jedi robes burned completely off, and Newt covered in grime, blood, and carrying two lightsabers and one blaster rifle on her back.
